Services
A split system is the go-to option for most Hervey Bay households. One indoor head unit paired with an outdoor compressor provides targeted cooling to a single room – no ductwork required.
We install Daikin and Fujitsu split systems built for the demands of coastal Queensland weather. These units deliver rapid cooling, low running costs and quiet operation even during Hervey Bay’s hottest months.
Ducted systems offer whole-home climate control from a single concealed unit. With zoning capability, you choose which rooms to cool and when – perfect for larger Hervey Bay homes where comfort matters in every corner.
We tailor each ducted installation to the specific layout of your property, ensuring even airflow distribution, efficient energy use and near-silent performance throughout.
Mounted flush within the ceiling, cassette units push conditioned air outward in four directions. This makes them an excellent fit for large open-plan rooms, shopfronts and office spaces across Hervey Bay.
Their discreet profile keeps things tidy overhead while still delivering strong cooling performance – a practical choice for both residential extensions and commercial fit-outs.
Hervey Bay’s tourism-driven economy means restaurants, hotels, medical practices and retail outlets all depend on dependable climate control. We design and install commercial AC systems that maintain a comfortable environment for both your team and your customers.
Whether it’s a VRV/VRF multi-system or a large-capacity ducted solution, we manage the entire process from initial design through to commissioning and handover.
I rang to get a quote for new ducted air conditioning at my home. From first contact the friendly team were great to deal with.
Kiel is very knowledgable regarding brands and capacity needed. He was able to answer all my questions and help me decide.
My new air conditioner was installed within three weeks! I am so happy with the product.
The team installing the air conditioner were very respectful & professional and even took their boots off while walking through my house (this is a first for any tradies) The floor was left very clean and all rubbish removed.
10/10 for the team at Deep Blue Air Conditioning !!

Location

Services
Routine maintenance is the key to keeping your air conditioner running efficiently and extending its lifespan.
Over time, filters collect dust and debris, refrigerant lines can develop slow leaks, and condenser coils lose efficiency – all of which reduce cooling power and drive up your energy bills.
Catching these issues early with a professional service prevents them from turning into costly breakdowns down the track.
Whether you need a one-off tune-up or want to set up a regular maintenance plan, get in touch and we’ll take care of it.
Services
No air conditioner is immune to wear and tear. Components degrade, and Hervey Bay’s hot, humid coastal climate accelerates that process – salt air, sustained heat and heavy use all take their toll on AC systems.
Common problems include compressor failures, refrigerant leaks and electrical faults that leave you without cooling right when you need it most.
Whatever has gone wrong with your Hervey Bay air conditioner, our technicians will diagnose the issue and get it resolved as quickly as possible.
Brent and Nick did a first class job in servicing our ducted air conditioning system and were far more thorough than others we have had.
This included getting the buttons in each individual room operating for the first time since we have been in the house.

Questions
Pricing varies based on the type of system and the specifics of your property. For a standard 2.5-kilowatt split-system with a straightforward back-to-back installation, Hervey Bay homeowners can generally expect to pay somewhere between $2,000 and $2,500 for full supply and installation.
Roughly half of that covers the air conditioning unit itself. (Be cautious of significantly cheaper quotes – they often come with lower-quality equipment. We only supply trusted brands like Daikin and Fujitsu.)
The remaining cost covers labour, which typically includes:
Many air conditioning units require a dedicated electrical circuit to maintain their warranty, so the electrician may need to add one if your switchboard doesn’t already have a spare.
Your air conditioning installer needs 2 kinds of licences: a refrigerant handling licence and an electrical licence.
The minimum class of refrigerant licence they’ll need is RSS03, which qualified them to install any single-head split-system air conditioner of under 18 kilowatts. (Keep in mind that, under ARC’s rules, most ducted air conditioning is technically ‘split-system’, in that there’s a central internal unit and an external unit. You can check an individual’s refrigerant licensing here.
They’ll also need an unrestricted electrical licence. You can check the licensing of an individual or company in Queensland here.
The ‘$5,000 rule’ is a heuristic you can use to estimate whether it’s better to repair or replace your air conditioning. If your air con has a problem, multiply the quoted cost of the repairs by the age in years of your system. If the resulting figure is over $5,000, a full replacement might be more cost-effective.
For example, if your air con is 10 years old and the cost of a repair is $550, the total would be $5,500. Under the rule, you’d be better off replacing your air con than repairing it.
With that said: there are so many exceptions to the $5,000 rule that it’s basically worthless. Instead, think about:
Most quality air conditioning systems will last between 10 and 15 years with proper care. Consistent servicing goes a long way toward reaching the upper end of that range, especially in a coastal area like Hervey Bay where salt-laden air, high humidity and long stretches of summer heat place extra strain on outdoor components.
