Split systems remain the go-to option for Maroochydore apartments, townhouses and single rooms. One indoor head unit pairs with an outdoor compressor to deliver targeted cooling – no ductwork required.
We install Daikin and Fujitsu split systems chosen specifically for the humid Sunshine Coast climate. These units reach temperature quickly, run quietly, and keep your energy bills in check.
When you want consistent comfort across every room, ducted air conditioning is the way to go. A single concealed unit pushes conditioned air through ceiling ducts, with zone controls so you only cool the areas you need.
We tailor each ducted system to the floor plan of your Maroochydore home balancing airflow across living areas, bedrooms and entertaining spaces for even temperatures and low running costs.
Mounted flush with the ceiling, cassette units push airflow in four directions making them perfect for open-plan offices, medical waiting rooms and retail showrooms throughout Maroochydore.
Their low-profile design blends into any ceiling, delivering powerful performance without taking up wall or floor space. A strong choice for both commercial fit-outs and spacious residential living areas.
As the commercial heart of the Sunshine Coast, Maroochydore is home to offices, restaurants, medical centres and large retail spaces that all depend on reliable climate control. We design systems that keep your team productive and your customers comfortable.
Whether it’s a VRV/VRF multi-system for a Sunshine Plaza tenancy or a ducted solution for a new CBD office, we manage the entire project from design through to commissioning.
I rang to get a quote for new ducted air conditioning at my home. From first contact the friendly team were great to deal with.
Kiel is very knowledgable regarding brands and capacity needed. He was able to answer all my questions and help me decide.
My new air conditioner was installed within three weeks! I am so happy with the product.
The team installing the air conditioner were very respectful & professional and even took their boots off while walking through my house (this is a first for any tradies) The floor was left very clean and all rubbish removed.
10/10 for the team at Deep Blue Air Conditioning !!

Services
Your air conditioner works hard through every Maroochydore summer. Without routine maintenance, performance drops and problems build up.
Clogged filters restrict airflow, refrigerant lines develop leaks, condenser coils collect grime, and fan motors wear down – all of which drive up your energy bills and reduce the quality of air in your home or office.
A regular service catches these issues early, well before they turn into costly breakdowns. It also extends the lifespan of your system significantly.
Stay ahead of the problem. Book your next air conditioning service today or ask about our ongoing maintenance plans.
Services
No system is immune to faults. Components can fail unexpectedly, and the constant humidity in coastal suburbs like Maroochydore accelerates wear on outdoor units and electrical connections.
Summer heat compounds the issue – long stretches of heavy use can push ageing parts like capacitors and compressors past their limit.
Whatever the cause, if your air conditioning isn’t performing the way it should, our team will diagnose the problem and have it sorted as quickly as possible.
Brent and Nick did a first class job in servicing our ducted air conditioning system and were far more thorough than others we have had.
This included getting the buttons in each individual room operating for the first time since we have been in the house.

Questions
Pricing varies depending on the type of unit and the layout of your property. For a standard 2.5-kilowatt split-system installation at a Maroochydore home (with back-to-back mounting), expect to pay in the range of $2,000 to $2,500 including supply and installation.
Roughly half of that cost covers the air conditioning unit itself. (Be cautious of companies offering significantly lower prices – they often use budget-grade equipment. We exclusively supply proven brands like Daikin and Fujitsu.)
The remaining cost is labour, which typically includes:
Many air conditioning models require a dedicated electrical circuit to maintain their warranty, so the electrician may need to run a new circuit if one isn’t already available.
Your air conditioning installer needs 2 kinds of licences: a refrigerant handling licence and an electrical licence.
The minimum class of refrigerant licence they’ll need is RSS03, which qualified them to install any single-head split-system air conditioner of under 18 kilowatts. (Keep in mind that, under ARC’s rules, most ducted air conditioning is technically ‘split-system’, in that there’s a central internal unit and an external unit. You can check an individual’s refrigerant licensing here.
They’ll also need an unrestricted electrical licence. You can check the licensing of an individual or company in Queensland here.
The ‘$5,000 rule’ is a heuristic you can use to estimate whether it’s better to repair or replace your air conditioning. If your air con has a problem, multiply the quoted cost of the repairs by the age in years of your system. If the resulting figure is over $5,000, a full replacement might be more cost-effective.
For example, if your air con is 10 years old and the cost of a repair is $550, the total would be $5,500. Under the rule, you’d be better off replacing your air con than repairing it.
With that said: there are so many exceptions to the $5,000 rule that it’s basically worthless. Instead, think about:
Most quality air conditioning systems will serve you well for 10 to 15 years before a replacement becomes necessary. Consistent servicing plays a big role in reaching the upper end of that range – especially in a coastal suburb like Maroochydore, where salt air, humidity and intense summer heat all place additional strain on your unit.
